Designing for Concert in the Pandemic

As part of a course on Innovation Design & Strategy, collaborated with a partner, Live Nation - one of the world’s largest live music and events promoters. The specific focus was on the Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion, their venue on the Boston waterfront.

Through application of service and experience design explorations, a range of different activities related to this venue, from ticketing, concessions, queuing, and parking to dancing, singing, food & beverage, and the green room experience were studied.

The final concept design was on feasibility, desirability and viability of holding a live open air concert on venue during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and explored a re-usable body suit concept. The body suit would, in essence, become the party outfit with multiple colors and brand merchandising options. The idea was that safety would become a means of fun and showing-off band loyalty. The suit would be a one-time purchase as part of the ticket, leading to high life time customer value. The suit would also include a barcode to track safety related information.
